Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I love RHPS and ST, but there are no theatres near me that plays either. So, I thought about starting a petition in my local towns. I am 15, and nobody takes me seriously. Do you think this will work?
-Bert
Bert, if it will get you a theatre for Rocky, then it's worth it. But, always remember that not everyone likes Rocky. Like any "cult film", there will always be people who just don't get it. But, sometimes it only takes a little time to get it off the ground. If you are as interested as you sound, then keep at it. If you have friends that are interested, get them to help you. When the townspeople see one person with a petition, it's easy for them to pass it off. But, when that petition is brought forward by two, three, ten, or however many people, then they'll start to see that there might be something worth checking into going on. While you pass around the petition, try talking to some of your local Theatre Managers to see what they think. You never know. You might find a sympathetic ear in a place that you didn't think it would be.
