Dear Nurse Ansalong:
Where on earth do you get fishnets for suspenders that don't rip during a wild night at the show??

FF, always remember that you get what you pay for. If you go to one of those "alterna-mall" stores and buy the cheapest fishnet material you can find, odds are they won't last the night. To make sure you get good material, you should go directly to the source - a fabric store. That way, you know what your getting before you buy it. Make sure to check the material for any defects and give it a little stretch to see how it does. If this doesn't work out, then you should look for a costuming store in your area. Some stores sell the costumes and the fabric to make them. If you make them yourself, be sure to give them a little room to "move". The tighter the material is, the less force it will take to rip. Also, remember about the added weight that your suspenders have to hold up. A heavy pair of pants can put a lot of strain on suspenders, which could cause them to break faster. A trick you might want to try is to get something and wrap the fishnet material around it. This could be anything from an actual pair of suspenders to thin pieces of metal bent into the correct shape. This will help to give the fishnet material the support it needs to not stretch to it's breaking point. I hope i helped you and that you're ready to snap back into action. Sorry, I know that joke was bad, but I just couldn't resist it...
