Dear Nurse Ansalong:
During one of the scenes in RHPS, Riff Raff and Magenta threaten Rocky with the candles and scare him into running away. My friends and I don't understand why they did that! Could you please help us? Also, why was Eddie in the freezer?

They say that every revolution starts with one action. It could be just grouping together or it could be declaring war. To me, Riff and Magenta terrorizing Rocky with the candles is what they decided to start with. Rocky is Franks's most prized possession and to scare away or injure Rocky would be a way to get at Frank. Also, they might have thought it would be a lot of fun to do something bad. The fact that the first thing that Riff and Magenta do after Rocky goes down the elevator shaft is start "necking" shows that they got some kind of sexual enjoyment out of it. There is also a veiled reference in this scene to a horror film of the past. In the original story and film version of FRANKENSTEIN, the only thing that the monster was afraid of was fire. There are many references to old horror movies throughout Rocky, but this one is one of the biggest. I think the reason that Eddie was still in the freezer was because Frank wasn't done using him yet. He had already used part of his brain for Rocky. Why not save the rest for a later experiment?
