Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I am becoming very paranoid about everything. I have trouble leaving the house at times. What should I do?
-B Schingle
B, there are many people like yourself these days. They see on the news about what the outside world is like and all they want to do is shut themselves away. If you feel up to it, I would advice you to go out in small doses. Sit out on your front porch or take a walk around the block. This might help you get more comfortable outside. If you are to nervous to do it alone, then have a friend go with you. If these feelings persist of get worse, you might want to see a psychiatrist. If these feelings are related to chemical problems inside of your brain, then a professional in this field would know how to treat you. For now, I'd tell you to be calm. The world is big place, filled with so much to see and do. It would be a shame to miss any of it.
