qt2, please understand that the fact that you haven't had a boyfriend by the time that you've reached the age of 12 is not a bad thing. There are many people that don't have their first relationship until much older than you are. It might be difficult if all of your friends have already seemed to have progressed farther than you, but that's not a bad thing for you. Just give it some time and I'm sure that you'll find that special someone.

About being too shy to ask anyone out... Remember that an entire relationship is not built on one conversation. If you get nervous while you're trying to ask that special someone out, then just go with it. You might want to try and control your breathing because an increased heart rate could help to make your nervousness worse. Give that a try and I think you'll be on the right track.
