Kim, it usually comes down to each specific person's feelings on the film and on the people that are into it. For every clear minded person that either likes the film or at least is accepting of the fans, there are just as many that look down on those same fans. Also, depending on the area of the country that you are in, you could be stuck in a more conservative area. There still are areas of the country that don't follow or possibly even really understand the ideas in RHPS.

And this leads right into their feelings on kids that are fans. To them, you could look like just another teen, trying to rebel against something. They could also think that, since you and your friends are just teens, nothing bad will happen if they don't treat you with the same respect as the adults who shop at the same store. This is a totally wrong thing, but it's what happens out there.

Like I said, it's not fair or correct for these people to act the way that they do towards kids that like Rocky. If this consistently happens to you, ask to complain to the manager and, if that doesn't work, get the phone number of the shop's Customer Service department and let them know exactly how you feel. If there's the chance that a store could lose business because of rude clerks, there is the definate possibility that a quick call from you could get there attitudes turned around rather quickly.
