Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I would like to know if Nurse Ansalong's 'ditzy' performance is her real character, or whether she is simply pretending in order to help Janet out of a sticky situation? I am referring to the scene where she says to Janet not to sign the contract now, and then it turns out if Janet would have signed it, Brad would be committed for the rest of his life! Is it her way of foiling Farley's plan?
-Insanity

Insanity, while she might not be as ditzy as her performance appears, but there is a different reason for Ansalong telling Janet not to sign the contract. Her next line is, "You'll get the first night for free." So, she's actually helping Janet save a little money on Brad's care, not to save him from Farley's clutches. And to see just how 'ditzy' she isn't, listen to Ansalong's parts in the songs. They show a level of personality that isn't in the rest of her performance.
