Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I'm going to be my cast's Trixie and I have no clue what I should do. I know this is the part where you get to be original but I'm at a complete loss. Got any ideas?
-Jenny

Jenny, I will tell you exactly what I tell every Trixie that I've ever met with the same problem as yours, "Imagine what you'd like to be in your mind and then be it the night of the show." When you perform as a Trixie, you are totally free of all costuming requirements. You can do whatever you want in your performance as long as you can come up with the costume by showtime. Feel like being a mermaid, or a geisha, or a schoolgirl, or a rock star for a Trixie? Then go for it! Let your mind go and see where it winds up. The more creative the better. The only thing stopping you from playing whatever character you want to is your own imagination and sewing skills. You could even decide to perform for a night as a certain Nurse... maybe... ; )
