Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I'm going to my first convention in October and I'm kinda nervous. What should I expect?
-Kim

Kim, you should expect to have an experience that you'll never forget. Seriously, anniversary cons are something different compared to a 'normal' con. This event will bring out people from not just the US and Canada, but from the entire world! I would seriously advice bringing along an address book, day planner, or even a pad of paper and a pencil because you will be meeting so many new people that you'll definately want to stay in contact with that'll you'll need to be prepared.

You're also going to see some of the most amazing preshows that you've ever seen. It always seems like all of the casts try to make their performances at anniversary cons something spectacular. I'm sure this one won't be any different.

Finally, this con has the added bonus of being held in Las Vegas, the city that proves that there are definately 24 hours in a day. Expect a lot of talk and invitations to trips along 'The Strip' or to some of the special places at the different nightclubs. I've already made my plans to spend some time down at Studio 54...

While these are a couple things that you can expect, for the most part, a con is mostly things that you don't expect. And don't be nervous. And yes, we are all there to have fun, but we also try to watch out for our fellow congoers, so don't panic about something happening. Just think about what you're going to experience and who you're going to meet. You might wind up going to breakfast with people from the New York cast, and then hang out by the hotel pool with a couple fans from the UK, and maybe even share a drink with a certain Nurse at one of the late night parties. You never know... ; )
