Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I am a skinny person, and the guy I like is a bit heavy. People who know I like him make rude comments because he is twice my size. Do you think it looks odd that some one who weighs 110lbs wants to date someone who looks to weigh around 200? And do you think it would make the guy uncomfortable to go out with a skinny girl? Do big guys even like skinny girls?
-Ding

Ding, everyone is free to date whomever he or she wants to, no matter their race, creed, religion, or body weight. To find someone that you can connect with and have a serious relationship with is something totally special that shouldn't be destroyed just because one person is heavier than the other. I've seen many couples of varying weights and/or heights and they've seemed totally happy to me. Personally, I've gone out with guys of all shapes and sizes and I've never had a problem dating someone who was heavier than I am. From everything that I've seen, heard, and experienced, the weight of the significant other only comes into play when there is an even larger problem brewing in the background. And yes, big guys do like skinny girls. I might not be "model thin", but I can vouch for this.
