Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I have a friend and, in the past 5 - 6 months, she has gotten into RHPS. However, it hasn't been very good. She's been going around acting like she knows more about the film than I do (She doesn't, TRUST me), talking about it like she has some degree in RHPS knowledge, etc. She's also being really hypocritical because last year she hated the film, said "Sweet T" was a stupid song and that she only liked Time Warp and Damnit Janet, and basically all-around slamming the film's plot, songs, acting and everything under the sun. When I reminded her of this, she started saying, "Well, I didn't hate the film because I never saw all of it. You just showed me big chunks of it" and making up stupid excuses like that so she doesn't look like a loser or something. It's really pissing me off and she's stolen some ideas that *I* made up for an RHPS crossover/parody script and she's taking credit and acting like, since she finished it, that makes it all right for her to steal other people's ideas. She's not a bad person and she is nice for the most part. She just acts really egotistical and acts like I'm some stupid RHPS virgin who doesn't know anything about the film. I've talked to her about this several times with no success. I don't want to end our friendship, but she's really driving me insane! What should I do?!

Anonymous, if you've tried to talk to her about this problem and you haven't had any success, then I would advice you to just let her go the way that she is. It might seem like the wrong thing to do, but, in cases like this, the person's words and actions tend to come back at them later on. The truth will come out about what she does know and what she has said in the past and she'll be exposed for what she's done. In the meantime, all I can really say for you is, if she really is a good friend, try to stick by her and wait for the eventual fall.

Also, about that story idea that she stole... For something like this, I would advice you to speak up about what she's done. If she comes to the show with the story, make sure that anyone that she talks to about it knows that she didn't actually write the whole thing. If you keep this up, then people will start to realize who was the creative one in your friendship.
