Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I'm a 20 year old male that has had a crush on a female for many years. She moved to a different state and I'm out of the country. We stay in contact through email and things seem to be going okay. How can I show her that I still like her like I did when we first met? I would like her to be my girlfriend but that seems to be difficult right now. Any advice on how to make her mine?

j, I think that, if you keep acting the same way that you've been doing, she'll know the way that you feel. The distance could cause a little difficulty since you don't get to spend the time together that other couples get, but by using the internet and phone calls, you can get your message across. There are many ways through the internet to show how you feel, like online greeting cards or ordering things like flowers online. A phone call can help the two of you feel closer and also help you to tell her how you feel in your own words and voice. Just be sure that she knows how you're feeling and that, even if the two of you aren't near each other, she is always in your mind and heart.
