Dear Nurse Ansalong:
What should I do if I were beaten up by a person whose in the Rocky cast in my town, aside from calling the police? Should I just let it go or what? I mean we're talking mondo intenso pain here! HELP! I don't want to be a pussy forever!
-Clueless In Columbus (Ohio)

Clueless, the one thing that you definately do not want to do is just let it go. To do something like that is telling this person and people like them that it's alright and correct for them to do what they did. What you should never do is exact any kind of "revenge" on him through physical violence. If you do something like that, all your doing is showing that you can be just as low as the person who attacked you. If you were beaten as severely as you sound, I would definately tell you to go to the police. After that, you should go directly to your doctor. Depending on where you were hit and with what, there could be all kinds of internal injuries that you haven't felt yet and that, if left untreated, could cause you serious problems. If this happened at a show and was unprovoked on your part, then I would also advise you to tell the Cast Director what happened. If this person is dangerous, then his/her fellow performers will definately want to know about it and, with that information, they will know to keep their eyes on him/her to make sure that it doesn't happen again. With all the trouble that you are having, please remember that not all Rocky cast members are like this person. I hope that you'll feel better soon, and, if you want, I'll be sure to check on you while I do my rounds...
