Dear Nurse Ansalong:
Most of my friends that are girls are involved in violent relationships and, whenever I try to express anything other than friendship, they seem nervous. Not the cute shy nervous but the afraid I'm psycho nervous. Most of them don't like me because of my self-expressionism (I'm the only one at my school that has the guts to own and wear 5 rocky horror, Clockwork Orange and MST3k shirts). I'm considering just calling High School a social loss and waiting until after to find a more open group of friends. What do you think I should do? Also you never answered my old "could fans fund Revenge of the Old Queen?" question.

the_floor_show, high school can be a very hard place to make friends in. With all of the social pulls sending kids off in every direction, it can sometimes be hard to get a firm grasp on your own self, let alone be able to share the "true you" with somebody else. It sounds like you've got a firm grip on what your personality, which is a very good thing. If the other people around you aren't ready to except you the way that you are, then you might wind up having to let them go off on their own for awhile. This doesn't mean for you to stop being their friend. What it means is that you might have to give them some room to be "nervous". Your personality, attitude, or whatever could be something that they aren't ready personally to deal with. If you give them a little bit longer to mature, they might understand about why you act the way that you do and be more accepting when you try to help. And, even if they get nervous, don't stop trying to help them if you see that they are in a situation that is becoming dangerous or violent. You wouldn't really be their friend if you didn't try to help. Until they are ready for your help, you might want to try a less direct way of moving them onto the right path and away from whatever is causing them pain.
About the funding of ROTOQ... It would be an interesting idea, but if you wanted to make the film with any kind of special look to match the original, you'd probably be looking at a budget of anywhere between $5-$20 million dollars, and that's not counting advertising and the cost of film prints. Making a film can get a little expensive with all of the people that you have to pay, all of the sets that you have to build, etc that the price can quickly zoom up. For every BLAIR WITCH PROJECT that is cheap to make and rakes in the revenue, there are hundreds of films made in the $20 million dollar range that go straight to video. If you wanted to go the privately funded route, it could get a little pricy and I'm not sure if all of the RHPS fans that love the film and want the sequel could afford giving enough money to pay off that debt. Also, with reports of Richard O'Brien starting on another possible sequel to RHPS, we might never get to see ROTOQ on the big screen anytime soon.
