Dear Nurse Ansalong:
Every time I get the chance, I'm on the Net, even when I'm not supposed to be. My parents swear I'm addicted, but I don't think so! I just really enjoy looking up ROCKY stuff, which they also find extremely uncouth, BTW. What should I do?
-Stella Nite

Stella, while it's not unhealthy to spend a lot of time on the internet, you shouldn't spend every waking minute on it. Your parents might be worried about how this new "obsession" is affecting your personal or emotional life. While you used to spend time out with your friends or whatever, they could be concerned and maybe a little confused by all the time that you spend on the internet. The same could also be said for their reaction to your interest in RHPS. It might not be something that they would be into, so they tend to have a problem with your extreme interest. If you fill your internet and RHPS interests in moderation and find other things to fulfil your time, I think that your parents will feel better. This doesn't mean that I think what you're doing is wrong, but you shouldn't lock yourself into one thing and loose sight of everything around you.
