Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I have these feelings for this ceratin individual who is not only older than me, but seemingly emotionally unattainable. I don't know why I'm even attracted to this person. It seems very out of character for me. I don't know, but I can't take it! I have no idea what to do...

Manon, feelings are strange. You could hate someone one minute and then be attracted to the person the next. If these are feelings that will never be returned, then you could always try to find something or someone to direct them to, like a hobby or someone else that you're attracted to. It will be confusing for awhile figuring out what your true feelings are, but, over time, they should start to calm back down again. If you are really attracted to this person, maybe you could see if this person could feel the same for you. It could be a long shot, but it's also worth a try. If that doesn't work, then you might be stuck having to "ride out" these feelings until they change.
