Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I've never understood the line, "We'll play along for now and pull out the aces when the time is right." Is it Brad just trying to be cool? Does he actually have a plan? Or is it just a subtle reference to "You're Looking at an Ace" from ST?
-Ace

Ace, this is just a case of Brad trying to be tough. The characters of Brad and Janet start off the film as the steriotypically good male and female ideas. As the film goes on, those characters get blurry until it seems like, by the Floor Show scene, that Janet has now become the dominant and strong person while Brad becomes more and more recessive. It may sound like more, but this statement is just Brad trying to be the "big, brave male" that society tended at the time to want him to be.
