Dear Nurse Ansalong:
A guy who lives half an hour away doesn't want a serious relationship, but might in the near future (say within a few months). There's another guy who is willing to have a relationship now, but he lives very far away, so it only goes as far as the phone. You have stronger feelings towards the one who lives far away. What do you do if and when the other one decides to come back?
-Torn

Torn, I would tell you to follow your feelings. Even though he lives far away, there is someone out there who cares about you deeply. There is no guarentee when or if the closer guy is ever going to want a serious relationship with anyone. Even though he's given you a possible time when he'd think about being "serious" with you, you shouldn't pin all your hopes on him without any assurances that he'll ever come around. I'd advice you to see what happens with your "long distance lover" and, if your feelings for the "closer guy" aren't as strong, then stay with your far away person. He might be a long way away, but his love and caring could make it feel like he's just next door.
