Dear Nurse Ansalong:
Why does Riff kill Frank? I think that's kind of mean. Just because Frank was occasionally selfish and mean? So? Everyone has their bad points. That was really ignorant to just go kill him. I cry every time i see that.

Wohodaesio, for me, Riff kills Frank because he's fed up with what Frank has done to him in the past. Through the course of the film, Frank continually talks down to both Riff and Magenta, kicks him after he raises Rocky into the air, and whips him out of the elevator. It could be that Riff is just sick and tired of being, for lack of a better term, Frank's whipping boy. One intersting thing to think about: While Riff is totally into killing Frank and Rocky, Magenta seems slightly confused on why he did it. She even tells Riff that, "They liked you." I think that the combination of his personality and all the abuse that he had to take finally caught up to Riff and he dealt with it in the only way he could think of.
