Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I live in San Antonio, Texas, and this girl that I like (alot) lives in Dallas (ALMOST 600 MILES AWAY). I want to be in a relationship with her, but I don't know how I'm going to tell her this. I'm not sure if she has a boyfriend or not. How do I find out? I really love her and I'm afraid that, if I be too straight-forword with her, she might not talk to me. How do I tell her how I feel and how do I find out what I need in order to tell her how I feel (like if she has a boyfriend)?
-Bewildered

Bewildered, to find out about her availabilty, you could always try to start a conversation which will get her to say whether or not she has a boyfriend. Tell her a story about what "your friend" did in his or her relationship, then ask her what she would do with her boyfriend. This will get an answer to your question without having to actually ask it. For the problem about telling her how you feel, you could try using a "softer" approach. This could be a card, a special present, a bouquet of flowers, or anything that you think could show her your feelings. Whatever you do choose, make sure that she understands that what she sees, hears, or reads comes from your heart. Make sure she knows that you care, and you might just win her over...
