Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I have 2 big problems: 1) I got blisters from a really bad sunburn and now there is one blister left and it hurts like hell and the rest of my back is peeling. What should I do to make it feel better? 2) All the members of my cast are assholes but I need them. A lot of them don't show up for rehearsals and can't be serious. Our Rocky hasn't even come to one rehearsal. What should I do? We are all rather young and I don't think putting an ad in the paper would be good, because probably older people would respond, and not want to work with a bunch of young people.

PB Head, 1) Try getting a nice skin lotion and/or moistuizer, especially one with aloe vera in it, and rub it on your back. This could help with the irritating blister and soothe the pain that you're having. If the blister doesn't get any better soon, then you might want to go see a doctor about it. 2) When you're in charge of your own cast, you begin to realize just how difficult it is to work with a group of people. For everyone that is into rehearsing, there are the same amount who don't think they need it. For help with your cast, you could always try the "tough love" idea. If they screw up enough in a show, then tell him/her that they will be pulled from next week's show. If that doesn't work, then you might just have to fire some to wake up the others to what you think the cast could and should be. You could also try and email other cast directors about how they run their casts and deal with problems. It might not seem like an older person would be interested in your cast, but it wouldn't hurt to get the word out that you're looking for new people to improve the cast. This could also induce the current cast members to start to work harder in their performances and rehearsals.
