Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I just want to cry. I was friends with someone and then someone sent them an email under my name, and now they don't believe me when I say it wasn't me! I don't want my friend mad at me, but I don't know who sent them the email so I don't know how to stop it from happening again!

nonameplease, there are a couple ways that you can prove that it wasn't you. Email your friend's service provider and see if they keep email records. If they do, they could possibly trace back where the message originally came from. Also, try to think of anyone that could have access to your internet or email account. If someone has your password or other information, they could have logged on under your name and sent the message that way. About trying to win back the trust of your friend, it might take time, but he/she will hopefully begin to realize that it couldn't be you. You might also want to look into getting an email account through one the free services on the net. With this address, you could tell your friend that, if an email comes from another address with your name on it, it's not you.
