Seeing, it's always difficult to talk to someone that we're romantically interested in. Our emotions get all mixed up and they take over control from the mind. One thing that you need to remember is that you don't have to sweep her off her feet during the first conversation. Try and just talk with her and get to know her better. The more the two of you interact, the easier it will be to talk about more important things. About the racial problem... If the two of you have a mutual friend, then ask this person if they know what kind of guys she's attracted to. But, first try and interact with her on your own. All you could need is one simple conversation to win her over to you.
