INeed, you could always do it the forward way and just walk up to him/her and ask. Doing it that way could also scare him/her off really quickly too. You could always try to be sneaky about it. Try ask questions that lead into him/her talking about her sexual preferences. That way, it will be easier for her to open up to you about his/her true feelings. You could also try talking to any mutual friends that the two of you have. He/She might have told them something that could help shine some light on your situation. Whatever you do, don't feel bad if your friend doesn't have the same feelings as you.
