Shan, you are not alone in this problem. It's never easy when you really like someone. Your emotions get all mixed up and you get really nervous and scared around him. There are a lot of things that you can do. About the girlfriend question... If you know one of them, try and talk to a friend of his to see what is going on. You could also find out what he's looking for in a girlfriend by talking to this friend. The age difference between the two of you is not a large one, but you never can tell how people think about things like that. To get his attention, what you might want to do is try and talk to him with another friend by your side. This person can be there to help out if the conversation starts to have trouble. Also, remember that a relationship is not made with one conversation. Start off simply and work your way into a more serious area. The more that he knows about you, the more he might be interested in you. Give it some time and relax a little and I think you'll do just fine.
