Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I've heard that SHOCK TREATMENT was originally called "Rocky Horror Shows His Heels", and that it featured all of the Rocky cast except Columbia. Is the script on the internet? And what was "The Brad and Janet Show"?
-Bert Shnick

Bert, there is actually a long history to what finally became SHOCK TREATMENT. "Rocky Horror Shows His Heels" was the original title of the sequel, and it did feature Brad, Frank, and Dr Scott. It featured a couple songs from ST in it. In the original version, "Little Black Dress" was a song by Frank about "what to wear to your resurection." The song "You're Looking At An Ace" also was written in this script. That being said, most of the songs didn't make it into ST, and the script as a whole was considered too downbeat to be produced. "The Brad And Janet Show" came next. In this script, Brad was the center of the film, but that didn't work in the end, so they switched his lines with Janet's. Also, in this version, Dr Scott was included in place of Bert Schnick. This script had both interior and exterior scenes and was all ready to be shot. But, there was an Actor's Guild strike and that ended the plans to shoot in Denton, TX, and forced it to be shot with a reduced budget on a soundstage. If you want even more information about ST, then you should go to The Official SHOCK TREATMENT Fan Club Site. They have stories, scripts, and many more pieces for you to learn from. A special BIG thank you to Ricky, my nurse's aide, for helping me out with all of my questions.
