Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I recently met this girl. I am 16 she is 13. I know that for some people that is a big age difference, but I judge people on how they act, not how old they are. This girl had been sexually active with about 6 guys in the past 2 years. She has come onto me heavily and the only thing holding me back is the risk of disease. Tell me if I should leave her alone or just wear protection and see where it goes from there?
-Confused Soul

Confused, I would be lying if I didn't say that her age bothers me. She might act older than her age, but that doesn't mean that she has the intelligence to match. She might act like she's old enough to have sex, but if she doesn't have the intelligence to know about and take measures against the consequences that could occur, then it would be a very dangerous thing to get into a sexual relationship with her. The fact that she's had sex with 6 different men in the past 2 years also bothers me. Remember the saying, "When you have sex with someone, you're having sex with everyone that they've done it with too." Everytime you have sex with someone, you take the chance of something happening. It might not appear right after you're done, but there might be very drastic problems waiting for you in the years to come. If you were to have any kind of sexual intercourse with her, I would defiantely tell you to use as many precautions as you can. It is better to be safe than sorry. I'd also like you to think for a minute about why you're interested in her. Is it because of her personality or is it just because she wants to have sex with you? Make sure that you have all of the answers before you possibly risk your life for a night of pleasure.
