Dear Nurse Ansalong:
What exactly is Frank implying when he says,"Or should I say, Dr. thereVon Scott!?"?
-Frankie Fan

Fan, there are many small subplots that run throughout the film. One of the most interesting, to me, is the idea that Dr. Scott and Frank met before the events depicted in the film. From the clue placed in the film, the first meeting would appear to have been during World War II. Frank's lab coat bears the pink triangle symbol on the chest. Today, this is used for gay rights, but it has a very dark past. In the countries occupied by the Nazis, gays were forced to wear an armband with a pink triangle. Like the others in those countries, this was the mark that they had to wear. The fact that it appears on Frank's lab coat could mean that either he had been on our planet before or that he had been here for a very long time. Also, when Frank and Dr. Scott first meet in the film, there appears to be some kind of a past between the two characters. If Dr. Scott had anything to do with the Nazis, it's understandable, given his attitudes and beliefs, why Frank would not like him.
