Dear Nurse Ansalong:
I know this is the oldest kind of letter, but I like this girl. Well, I think she likes me. We really are friendly, in private, but in public she pretends not to know me. We do a lot of the same things, go to the same school, and I've been to her house. Everything! Well, just about. I really like her. But I don't think she likes me. She has a boyfriend, and I know she has her heart set on another guy aside from me. What should I do?
-Myself
Myself, feelings of love can be the worst thing to have. From the way that you've described this girl, it doesn't seem like she is as interested in you as you are in her. Since she already has a boyfriend, her feelings are probably more directed at him than at you. Also, the fact that she seems to ignore you in public is not a good sign. If she only wants to be your friend in private, then I'm worried what would happen if the two of you started dating. Give it some time and see what happens.
